Steel buildings for Manufacturing
You get what you pay for is a common saying. If
you're going super cheap then a company more
than likely will be giving you a super cheap
material that in the long run will cost you more
in terms of repair.
Of course you want to get a good price and a
fair price but in order to do this you need to
compare apples to apples.
Get an itemized quote on the exact same
dimensions and style of building. Don't compare
a Quonset building to an I beam building.
There is no cookbook for lean manufacturing.
Each company and firm has its own unique set of
products, processes, people, and history. While
certain principles may be immutable, their
application is not. Manufacturing Strategy will
always be a difficult, uncertain, and an
individual process. Strategy is still, largely,
an art.
